100% of your donation goes to Boundless Readers. 85% of every dollar donated directly supports Boundless Readers programs, so your gift will have an immediate and significant impact on the teachers and students who we serve. 15% covers general administrative and fundraising costs which are vital to sustaining the organization. Many nonprofits of equivalent size have 20-25% averages for administrative/fundraising expenses.
How is Boundless Readers funded?

Can I donate stock or other securities?
Yes, you can make a charitable gift of your stocks and securities. If you have appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds) that you have owned for at least one year, you may want to consider contributing them as a gift to Boundless Readers. You will avoid paying capital gains tax and you can deduct the full fair market value, so you will see a great tax benefit in addition to supporting our important work. Yes, most workplace giving programs such as United Way will permit you to direct your giving to a qualified nonprofit like Boundless Readers. .You receive full credit for participating in your company's community giving program while getting to direct your personal contribution to Boundless Readers. During the sign-up and pledge period of your/your spouse's company employee giving program, review the distributed materials or ask your workplace giving representative or human resources department if your payroll giving can be specifically directed to Boundless Readers.
Does Boundless Readers accept matching gift donations?
Absolutely! Matching gifts are a great way to double or triple the impact of your gift as many employers will generously match gifts 1 to 1 or 2 to 1. Check your/your spouse’s company website or ask your human resources department if your donation can be matched and what process you need to follow.

Yes, assuming you qualify under IRS rules. The tax relief act of 2008 allows charitable IRA distributions ... but only through December 31, 2009. People 70 1/2 or older may transfer up to $100,000 from their IRA tax-free if the gift is made directly to a nonprofit like Boundless Readers. Does Boundless Readers accept in-kind donations?

Additionally, we welcome in-kind donations from service providers and vendors such as computer and IT consulting, event venues, marketing services firms, office supply companies, accounting firms and legal firms.
