Rochelle Lee Review Library
Before teachers select new books for classroom libraries, they review and research children’s books in our Rochelle Lee Review Library. The library is organized by subject, not by grade level, so teachers can review many titles associated with a given subject area (e.g. sports, earth science, graphic novels).
The library contains over 8,000 current titles and is regularly updated with new offerings. It also contains a selection of professional texts for teacher review.
The library is named in honor of Rochelle Lee, the founder and lifetime president of Boundless Readers.
Lending Library
The Boundless Readers Lending Library augments the resources available to teachers and offers all current and alumni participants the opportunity to borrow sets of books throughout the school year.
The lending library contains over 5,500 copies of children and young adult books. Some titles are available in whole class sets, ideal for a shared reading experience. Other titles are available in smaller sets of eight for small group instruction.
Titles range from Tears of a Tiger by Sharon Draper to Because of Winn Dixie by Kate Di Carrillo to Rash by Pete Hartman. To view the full book selection, click Current Lending Library Book List.
It is strongly recommended that teachers contact Maggie Armstrong or Michael Tajchman via email or at 773-989-8582 in advance to borrow books from the lending library for your students. This will ensure that the desired books are available, and that a specific time can be scheduled to pick up the books.
