Teacher developed, teacher led.
Boundless Readers network teachers develop and facilitate our workshops, institutes, and orientation sessions. They are intimately familiar with the challenges urban teachers face and provide best practices that are directly relevant and actionable to their colleagues in the classroom.
Beyond a few required sessions, teachers have a wide choice of elective workshops. Teacher participants select workshops that meet their individual needs as well as the needs of their students. Topics include teaching nonfiction comprehension strategies, inspiring young writers, supporting English language learners, engaging boys in reading, working as collaborative team members, and leading strong teacher teams.
The workshops are designed to promote and develop teacher understanding, knowledge, and implementation of best practices in literacy instruction across the curriculum.
